Ironed Shirt

AN IRONED SHIRT

Not a Searching Spotlight
But a Bright Walking Lion
Waking before all SolarLights
can Break Past Clouds and Shadows
yawNS are ROArs
& Pain gets Smiled at
quick Flicked Halogens
Winter Winds are
Howling
Blue Mountain Brewing
And were Shaking OFF
Shady Dream States
for Clean BreakFast Plates
and Fresh SHower WaterWays

(wrote this one in the cold watching cats on skates and feelin the chill)

Getting ready for the 2nd day of work this morning, I realized that the brown shirt I had planned to wear was wrinkled at the bottom of the basket. Putting it ontop of the board and plugging in the iron brought this song to mind. Max speaks of putting on his Iron shirt before he chases the devil out of earth. The song rings out in dancehalls around the world and quickly calls all knowers and movers onto the dance floor. Its a heavy piece talking about finding and routing out that old spirit of confusion, lies and hatred etc. As I ironed my dress shirt, it was comforting/encouraging to know that despite making this tough transition into the work world, I was putting on this Ironed shirt for a similar purpose. ...of course this was not quite as clear during my training session about stretching. Well, i guess you need to stretch before chasing...
